Geography Bee

"The National Geographic GeoBee is an annual competition designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world."

Every January, Genoa students compete in class-wide preliminary Geography Bee competitions.  Our classroom competitions determine who will compete in our grade level competitions.  This year's competitions will be virtual.  Stay tuned for more information.  The top three grade level winners compete in Genoa's whole school competition.

Genoa's school winner receives a medal and has his/her name engraved on our school plaque.  In a change of rules for 2020-21, all school winners will be able to compete in Ohio's competition.
