Anyone granted access to the Web site content management system must comply with the state, federal, and international laws concerning copyright, intellectual property rights and legal uses of network computers. This means content management system users may not copy, allow others to copy or fail to report their knowledge of copying material from other Web sites or resources and publishing that content on the WCS Web site.  The only exceptions are if express, written permission has been received from the Webmaster, creator, owner, or publisher of the material, or if the material is clearly stated to be in the public domain or freely available for reproduction.  In either case, documentation of the permission or the free nature of the material must be filed with the Office of Communication and Technology. Also strictly forbidden is using or allowing the use of any trademark, service mark, or logo without the owner’s written consent and the filing of such consent with Community Relations.

Web pages on the WCS Web are the property of WCS unless they display student work or material of others displayed with permission.  Requests to re-use content from a WCS Web site should be directed to the principal or administrator of the individual school or office maintaining the requested content. The request may also be deferred to the Office of Communication and Technology.
