We believe that students need a learning environment that is safe, nurturing and efficient. The district strives to provide such an environment by partnering with the community, parents, students and staff in determining the various areas that need to be focused upon.

Office of Technology

The department manages all aspects of the use and integration of technology in both the academic and operational functions of the district.

Office of Facilities & Operations

Works to provide and maintain learning and working environments that are safe, nurturing and efficient for our students. Oversees the following: Facilities Design & Engineering; Construction Management; Building Repair & Maintenance; Grounds Management; Building Safety & Security; Environmental Management; Facility Master Planning; Capital Improvement Plan; Energy Management; Custodial Services; Student Transportation; Purchasing; Warehouse; and Fleet Management.

Office of Human Resources/Employee/Labor Relations

Works to recruit, select, develop and retain the best staff for our students. This office continually is looking for highly qualified professional educators and support staff. Food Services

Responsible for providing meals that are nutritious and appealing to students and staff in a safe, sanitary and welcome environment while containing costs.  The operation is fully self-funded and uses no general fund dollars.

Enrollment Center

Westerville Schools' centralized enrollment for all students/families, including: on-line registration capabilities; interpretive services; and EL assessment. Additionally the Enrollment Center provides access to information about health-related services in the area, family education classes, transition services to buildings as needed, newsletters and information updates for families.

Homeless Children & Youths (McKinney-Vento Act)

Responsible for the enrollment of homeless students as specified in the district's policy, as well as providing services to students made homeless by a variety of situations, including disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, floods, and terrorists attacks.

School Resource Officer Program (SRO)

The School Resource Officer program is a cooperative agreement between the Westerville City Schools and the City of Westerville, assigning a Police Office at each high school and middle school. In addition to their law enforcement duties the School Resource Officer provides mentoring to students, interaction with faculty and participation in the classroom as guest speakers.

Student Safety

Responsible for providing a safe environment conducive to learning and enforcing the rules written in the District Handbook, as well as the Code of Student Conduct.
