Westerville North’s Yanichko to continue lacrosse career at Capital

Westerville North High School (WNHS) Lacrosse Captain Austin Yanichko on January 29, 2020, signed his letter of intent to continue his lacrosse career at Capital University. Yanichko has lettered every year of high school and earned Defensive Player of the Year, as well as All Region Honors, in his junior season. He plays for Resolute Lacrosse in the summer and winter. When not on the field, Yanichko is a student section leader for North, a member of the National Honor Society, and has volunteered his time with the Westerville Challenger Baseball League. He is also one of only 32 central Ohio recipients of the Handshake America scholarship for student athletes. Yanichko plans to major in Psychology and pursue a pre-medical pathway. His goal is to become a psychiatrist specializing in psychotic disorders.
