Bethany College (West Virginia) gained a dual-sport athlete on February 13, 2020, when Westerville North High School (WNHS) senior Lynn Burton signed her National Letter of Intent to play volleyball and throw shot put for the Bison.

Burton’s love for volleyball grew when she was in the 7th grade and attended a volleyball camp at The Ohio State University, which led to various tryouts in the fall. She chose to play for Danielle Robinson at Two Girls Volleyball Club, where she is playing as a Setter in her last season on their 18U National Teal team.

While at WNHS, Burton played volleyball for four years and participated in track and field for three seasons. Her activities outside athletics include volunteering at Rock City church and providing meals to the homeless at Thanksgiving. Burton participated in the theater production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol her junior year for WNHS theater and has been involved in Challenge Day at the school for four consecutive years.
