On Friday, November 22, Pointview Elementary School hosted its annual Career Day. The event is designed to expose students to various professions they can pursue in the future. Presenters included a cosmetologist, DJ, potter, Marine engineer, pilot, research chemist, firefighter, physician, and more. In addition to learning about each occupation, pupils learned about how the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People apply to these jobs. As a Leader in Me school, Pointview pupils work regularly learning and applying the seven habits at school. It was meaningful for them to realize they apply to careers as well.
