During the month of October, Hawthorne Elementary students and staff focused on being kind to others, going above and beyond expectations, and helping those in need. They participated in a Kind Kids Week, where they were given kindness challenges each day. By participating in this activity, they raised more than $194 to donate to the American Red Cross for the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
