On Tuesday afternoon, October 31, students at Cherrington Elementary School witnessed a live performance from extraordinary BalletMet dancers, who delivered their Movement Makers program. The school’s PTA sponsored the Artists in Schools event, offered through the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education.
BalletMet’s education programs focus on physical, cognitive and socio-emotional development using creative, fun, standard-based and dynamic movement education. Movement Makers is a lecture demonstration about the art and athleticism of ballet and an interactive and educational dance performance designed for pupils in grades K-12. At the end of the performance, the inquisitive youngsters got the opportunity to ask questions of the dancers.
