The Hanby Elementary School Spring Bazaar took place on Sunday, April 17, attracting hundreds of community members. Activities included:
- A student art show, coordinated by art teacher Elizabeth Schar;
- The raffling of four one-day park hopper Disney tickets valued at $600;
- The raffling of a twin-sized Hanby T-Shirt quilt valued at more than $300;
- Carnival games and concessions;
- A silent auction including dozens of themed baskets donated by parents and businesses, including gift cards; and
- Hands-on art experiences including jewelry making, metal stamping, gardening, visual arts and science projects.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Hanby students in paying for field trips, buying classroom supplies, library books, and a myriad of other items not covered by tax dollars.
