The Rotary Club of Westerville, which sponsors a Student of the Month program, recognized recipients at a luncheon at Villa Milano held on Thursday, November 6.  November students are:  Adonis Johnson, Westerville Central High School; Trevor Dilley, Westerville North High School; Alex Chapman, Westerville South High School; and Nicholas Moonis, St. Francis DeSales High School.

The purpose of the program is twofold:  to recognize outstanding students who have distinguished themselves by serving their school and to expose them to the Rotary Club and its ideal of “Service Above Self.”  Students selected join Rotarians for lunch every week for a month, and have the opportunity to interact with members.

Trevor Dilley, a Westerville North High School senior, likes to study Science.  This scholar-athlete earned All-OCC/All-District track and cross country accolades, as well as a coach’s award.  He is active in his youth group at Church of the Master United Methodist.  Dilley hopes to major in Exercise Science at Ohio Wesleyan or the University of Akron.

Music and History are favorite subjects of study for Alex Chapman, a senior at Westerville South who earned a 3.90 grade point average.  Chapman, a member of the National Honor Society, participates in the Wind Symphony, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Pitt Orchestra and Marching Band.  He is past president of the Westerville South Key Club, where for two years he organized a Special Olympics soccer match, and is currently Central Ohio Division Key Club Lieutenant Governor.  Chapman plans to major in Music Education.
