Going to high school isn’t always fun and games, but sometimes it actually is!  Westerville North High School’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Department hosts a Lunch Bunch game day twice a month on Fridays.  ESL teacher Amal Doom and ESL Paraprofessional Rhonda Letterio open up a classroom during the fourth period lunch break when students who have been working hard and performing well in their classes are invited to socialize and play board games.  Pupils are developing a multitude of skills during this reward time, such as writing, reading, spelling, following directions and rules, social conversation and team work.  Approximately 40 students attend this gathering, which has become a very popular and much anticipated event.
