On Saturday, November 22, Friends of the Shelter hosted its annual “Howliday Bazaar” to raise money for the urgent medical care of sick and injured dogs that arrive at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.  Many holiday and dog-themed products were sold, as well as delicious baked goods for both humans and pets.  “The students from Westerville South helped us decorate Christmas trees and organize this huge project,” said Jay Rowsey, Trustee and Marketing Director for Friends of the Shelter.  “Their participation helped make our event run very smoothly and their dedication to give back to our community is inspiring.”

Proceeds from this event will pay for life-saving medical care for sick and injured dogs. With continued support from the community, Friends of the Shelter is able to fund the medical care of approximately 350 dogs every year.  Friends of the Shelter is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization.  To learn more, please visit www.friendsoftheshelter.org.
