Hanby Students Learn from Erosion Experiment

Two fourth grade students pour water during an erosion experiment conducted by Linda Pettit from the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District.

                           

 

Linda Pettit from the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District spent the day in Sara Thiegs’ fourth grade science classes at Hanby Elementary School on November 13 to demonstrate erosion using a simulator. 

The mission of the agency is to promote responsible land use decisions for the conservation, protection and improvement of soil and water resources by providing information assistance through effective partnering, technical guidance and education.  In Ohio, there are 88 soil and water conservation districts.
