Heritage Middle School students in Megan Walker’s art classes have been hard at work creating beautiful bowls for an upcoming Habitat for Humanity Soups for Shelter event.  After learning clay techniques including sculpting, firing and glazing, the pupils donated nearly 200 colorful bowls to the Habitat event.  For those students whose schedules prevent them from being able to volunteer in the community, making the bowls enabled them to earn a community service credit for Renaissance.

All are welcome to attend the March 20 meal, which will take place from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at St. Mary Church in Delaware, located at 82 E. William Street.  The cost of this delicious dinner is $15, which includes soup, bread, drink, dessert and a Heritage Husky original bowl.  Cost for dinner by itself is $10.
