Westerville High School Students Attend Accounting Career Day at OSU

High school students from Westerville North, South and Central attended Accounting Career Day at The Ohio State University (OSU) on Wednesday, October 23.  They were accompanied by accounting teachers Natalie Schaublin (North), Linda Mapes (South) and Susan Bailey (Central).  The group was greeted by Karen J. West, VP, Academic & Career Awareness, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and Dr. Waleed Muhanna, Professor and Chair, Department of Accounting and MIS, OSU Fisher College of Business.  They also attended workshops entitled CPA’s:  Accountants with an Edge; From the Classroom to the Real World; Step up to Success: College Student Panel; and Financial Literacy.  In addition, they got a behind-the scenes look at career paths in “all things accounting” from Kati Hood, Campus Recruiting Manager at KPMG, along with OSU admissions information.
