As community participants gathered on September 28 to enjoy the 2013 Westerville Olympic Experience, some familiar faces were present to guide them through the activities.  Several members of Westerville City School athletic groups stepped up to help by volunteering their time and expertise.

The event took place at Heritage Park.  It featured a number of “Try-It” sports clinics in the areas of basketball (run by the men’s team at Otterbein University); cheerleading (Westerville North girls cheer teem); fitness and agility training (Katzenmoyer Performance); football (Westerville North); hockey (Westerville Warcats); lacrosse (Westerville South men’s team); soccer (Columbus School for Girls); softball (Westerville North women); swimming (Westerville Aquatic Club), tennis (women’s team, Otterbein University); and track and field (men’s and women’s Otterbein University).  Girl Scout Troop 50757 helped with a preschool playground.
