On Wednesday, March 20, the Wildcat PRIDE Committee sponsored Westerville South High School Cafeteria Worker Appreciation Day.  South students and staff wanted to demonstrate their appreciation for what the Food Service employees do every day.  To say thank you for all the delicious and nutritious meals they provide, the committee served them a luncheon on tables adorned with floral centerpieces, bowls of candy, and cards which stated, “You are simply amazing!”

The Wildcat PRIDE program recognizes and rewards students who have exemplified Westerville South’s core values. These core values include: resPect, Responsibility, Integrity, kinDness, and tolErance (PRIDE).  The overall purpose of the Wildcat PRIDE program is to help foster a positive environment where every student feels appreciated and good behavior is recognized.  In just a few short months the PRIDE program has grown to include a staff committee and a group of student leaders from each grade to promote and carry out the mission of the program.  By having student and staff involvement in the program, Wildcat PRIDE has also branched out into completing community service projects as well as recognizing other vital figures in the education community for their dedication.
