As an enrichment project in the Advanced Social Studies class taught by Liz Stokes, Walnut Springs 8th graders Morgan Perryman and Conner Fowler explored the American Revolution and its causes through an in-depth independent study. They presented their findings beyond the classroom.

Perryman returned to her alma mater and former fifth grade teacher, Chris Henricksen, to present an online book she wrote. Fowler visited the Friendship Village of Columbus and shared his Prezi presentation to several residents including his grandmother, Carolyn Fowler.

All audience members involved not only learned more about our country’s history, but were energized by the enthusiasm and expertise of these two students.
