On Saturday, July 28, juniors and seniors from the Westerville South High School football team attended the Epilepsy Foundation’s annual Mud Volleyball fundraiser in Grove City, Ohio. This is the second year that coaches Rocky Pentello and Jim Gaul have organized a group of young men from the team to help with clean-up and end-of-the-day activities.

This tournament is the Foundation’s largest annual money-raiser, and the successful clean-up, inventory and organization of supplies and materials is a crucial factor in keeping Mud Volleyball cost effective and successful. This year the event was running behind schedule, but even with that challenge, South team members worked hard through a four-hour shift to get a significant amount of work done towards breaking down the site.

“Everyone at the Foundation offices agree that they did a fantastic job again this year,” wrote Heidi Moss, Epilepsy Foundation of Central Ohio representative. “These young men were respectful, courteous and hard-working; and they all were also happy to pitch in and assist regardless of what was asked of them. Without a doubt, you should be proud to have each and every one of them representing Westerville South High School.”
