Walnut Springs Kicks Off New Year with Student/Parent Hot Dog Party

Sweltering heat could not dampen the enthusiasm of students and parents who gathered at Walnut Springs Middle School on Wednesday evening, August 8. After schedule pick-up from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m., a new student orientation meeting was held in the gymnasium and tours of the building were led by some of this year’s eighth graders. From 7:15 to 8:00 p.m. a student/parent hot dog party was held in the Walnut Springs football stadium, hosted by staff. The sixth grade cook-out has become an annual event at Walnut Springs, with fun for all and even a few prizes for the newest members of the Wolf Pack family.
