Permanent Exclusion

The Board of Education may seek the permanent exclusion of a student, sixteen (16) years of age, or older, who is convicted of committing or adjudicated a delinquent child for committing one or more of the following acts:

  1. Conveying deadly weapons or dangerous ordnance onto school property or to a school function in violation of Ohio Revised Code Section 2923.122;

  2. Possessing deadly weapons or dangerous ordnance onto school property or to a school function in violation of Ohio Revised Code Section 2923.122;

  3. Carrying a concealed weapon on school property or at a school function in violation of Ohio Revised Code Section 2923.122;

  4. Trafficking or aggravated trafficking in drugs or the sale of a controlled substance on school property or at a school function in violation of Ohio Revised Code Section 2925.03(A);

  5. Murder, aggravated murder, voluntary manslaughter, or involuntary manslaughter on school property or at a school function in violation of Oho Revised Code Sections 2903.01, 2903.02, 2903.03, and 2903.04'

  6. Felonious assault or aggravated assault on school property or at a school function in violation of Ohio Revised code Sections 2903.11 or 2903.12;

  7. Rape, gross sexual imposition, or felonious sexual penetration on school property, at a school function, or when the victim is a school employee in violation of Ohio Revised Code Sections 2907.02. 2907.05, 2907.12;

  8. Complicity in any of the above offenses, regardless of whether the act was committed on a school property or at a school activity.
