On May 7, the Westerville Education Association (WEA) hosted its Annual Reception at Villa Milano. WEA President Rhonda Gilpin presided over the event, during which time a number of awards were presented.
Superintendent John Kellogg addressed the packed house, as did Dr. Nancy Nestor-Baker, President of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education.
Friends of Education awards were given to Thomas Mount, Richard Spence, Beverly Koenig, Ginny Mack and the Westerville Christian Church.
Retiring educators were also honored: Dr. Steven M. Coolahan, Renee D’Amico, Sandra Duckworth, Natalie A. Hetrick, Suzanne Kass, Teri Lott, Jill MacDonald, Nancy Jo Palumbo, Candy S. Peak, Debby Petrozzi, Beth Simpson, and Kevin Thuman.
A special President’s Award was given to Lisa Kuhar.
