Being a parent is one of the most challenging and demanding jobs within our society. We look out for our children’s physical, emotional, and intellectual needs. We teach them about the dangers of strangers and drugs as well as the importance of learning. But in the end, it’s the unknown risks that pose the greatest dangers to our students, especially when those risks are embedded within something that appeals to them – technology. It’s hard for even the most safety conscious adult to keep up with the fast paced evolution of technology. This course will help you keep abreast of the latest technological developments. We will be speaking about the dangers our youth face every time they use their smart phones and download the latest application to help keep them connected to their friends. As these technologies evolve and improve, the consumer becomes more at risk. Learn how your student’s privacy and safety is compromised every time they download and use these new and risky applications. Discover how students can be tracked, wherever they go, with surprising accuracy. And keep abreast of the latest techniques to help keep your children safe from the dangers that lurk on the Internet.
