Welcome to the 2015– 2016 school year. My name is Laurie Rogaliner and I will be your child’s fifth grade math teacher this year. Each new year brings about a new excitement and nervousness for your son or daughter. As your child’s teacher, I will make this year as comfortable as possible. Since I will be spending a lot of time with your child, I wanted to take the time to introduce myself professionally as well as personally.
This is my fifteenth year teaching in the district, I was at Blendon Middle School for two years and this is my thirteenth year at Cherrington Elementary School. I attended college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where I received my B.S. in elementary education. I also completed my Masters at Marygrove College. I love sports, especially The Buckeyes, and going home to visit my family in Cleveland.
My goal is to do everything I can to make sure I prepare your child for the challenges that lie ahead. I will treat him/her with respect and ensure a comfortable learning environment. Everyday your student will be working on skills that will strengthen them not only academically but socially.
It is very important you are a part of this process with your child. I expect each and every one of my students to meet high expectations as they venture throughout the year. Please feel free to contact me any time you have questions or concerns.
I am looking forward to working with you and your son or daughter and making this a very successful year.
