As the Class of 2020, I think no one is better suited to meet the challenges ahead than you. If greatness is what you seek, you have a tremendous opportunity because of your ability and vision. You have made our school community even stronger and we cannot wait to see what you do for your friends, your family and the broader community. Keep following your heart and improve the lives of those around you. Class of 2020, we wish you the best!
- Michael Hinze, High School principal
Dear South Families,
We are looking forward to an exciting 2019-20 school year. Meeting new teachers, learning about new subjects, and making new friends always adds excitement to students’ lives. That feeling is shared among our staff. We can’t wait to meet our new students and welcome back our 10th through 12th graders.
As you may have already noticed, we are a construction site. The Auxiliary Gym, and area behind the Commons are currently being converted into a new academic wing and Main Gymnasium. We are taking great strides to be sure it does not disrupt the learning of our students, however, parking may be difficult at times, especially for after school activities. We encourage everyone to plan accordingly.
The excitement of high school can also bring challenges. We are always ready to assist with future planning, graduation progress, or anything else to help your student’s transition to adulthood. Our teachers, counselors, and administrative team will do whatever it takes to help our students reach their fullest potential.
We welcome you and your students to Westerville South High School. We are proud of our students, staff, and our community and hope to make this another outstanding school year.
