South Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent during Recognition Ceremonies

Friends, family members, teammates, coaches, staff and administrators gathered in the auditorium at Westerville South High School on Wednesday afternoon, April 11, to watch and celebrate as 10 outstanding student athletes signed Letters of Intent to play sports and continue their education at the collegiate level.  College Athlete Recognition and Signing Day honorees included football players Carlos Alamo (Thomas More), Adel Abdelhadi (Ohio Dominican), Daniel Mensah (Ohio Dominican) and Anthony Parham (Thomas More).  In Track & Field, Kayla Silva signed on to compete at Ohio Northern University.  Basketball player Cailin Duffy is headed to the United States Naval Academy and Nate Stadler will swim for Florida State University.  Mo Abusaiid (University of Wisconsin Green Bay); Jonnie Woods (Urbana University); and Ishallar Bryant (Concordia University) will play soccer at the collegiate level. Taylor Knox, who will bowl for Shawnee State University, signed her Letter of Intent earlier in the day.  South Athletic Director Josh DeVoll hosted the ceremony and congratulated these seniors on their outstanding high school career and their commitment to continue athletics at the collegiate level.
