FAQ

Q: How much does the trip cost?

Answer-- $585 per student (pays for hotel, food, all activities, T-shirt, bus) Essentially a student does not need to bring any extra money on trip!

Q: What if we are late on payments?

Answer--Contact Prime Tours about late payments, they are very understanding and flexible if you need an extension.

Q: Can we still begin payments this late in the year?

Answer--YES! If you have just decided to attend the trip, there's still time to sign up and make payments!

Q: How can we make payments?

Answer--Payments can be made online or in the mail. All payments are made to Prime Tours, not sent to school. See the Payment page for more information.

Q: When is the trip?

Answer--Tuesday May 2nd through Friday May 5th. We leave early Tuesday morning around 6:00 and return Friday evening around 9:30.

Q: How many chaperones are there?

We are looking to have about 15 chaperones in total.

Q: Can parents go?

Unfortunately the trip is only for 8th grade students and chaperones. All chaperones are required to be part of the Blendon staff.

Q: How do students pick rooms? How many in a room?

Closer to the time of our trip, students will complete a form to make roommate requests. There are 4-5 students per room. We work hard to ensure all students get to room with who they request. Students should talk to friends beforehand so that each person requests the same roommates. This makes the job a lot easier if each student requests the same roommates in their group.

Q: What if my student takes medication?

Be sure that proper forms are completed for any medications taken by your student, prescription or over the counter. We will provide forms at our final meeting, but forms are also available in the nurse's office. Your child's chaperone will be informed of all medical needs and will receive the required medical training to administer needed medications.

Q: What should my student pack?

We will give students a packing list, as well as clothes requirements and/or recommendations closer to our trip date. In general, it is a good idea to checkout the weather to help when making packing decisions. Certain days we will need students to "dress-up"/business casual due to the the dress requirements of the place of visitation. Students should definitely think about layers, comfortable shoes, a raincoat, and extra socks. We strongly discourage any electronics to be brought on the trip besides cell phones.
