Actors from the Columbus Children’s Theater performed in a thought-provoking play.

The Columbus Children’s Theater visited Wilder Elementary on January 26 to perform in Mother Goose, which is about a boy who was caught reciting a nursery rhyme by two kids who make fun of him.  “Nobody reads those rhymes anymore,” they taunted.  Even though Mother Goose herself appears to challenge that, the bullies insist that she is just not cool anymore.

This play captured the full attention of Wilder students as the brightly costumed actors moved around the stage and encouraged audience participation.  Students thoroughly enjoyed the interactive performance and look forward to another visit.
