The 2019 Westerville Lions Rudolph Run/Walk 5K, which took place on Sunday, December 8, is a family-encouraged 5K event that kicks off the Westerville Lions Children’s Christmas Parade.  Each year, proceeds from the event cover most of the costs to produce the Westerville Lions Children’s Christmas Parade.  Westerville Caring & Sharing and the Westerville Public Library also receive a generous donation from excess proceeds generated from the run and parade.

The run, once again, featured a contest between local elementary schools, this year represented by Alcott, Cherrington, Emerson, Fouse, Hanby, Hawthorne, Mark Twain, McVay, Robert Frost, Whittier and Wilder elementary schools.  Robert Frost was the winning team, with 25 participants.  Their reward was an $800 check made payable to the Robert Frost PTA.  A plaque was presented to the school to note their achievement on December 19.
