Building Message

Dear Robert Frost Elementary Parents and Guardians,

It is with excitement and humility I step into the interim principalship of Robert Frost Elementary to serve the students, staff, parents, and community. I look forward to building on the rich heritage of the school and continuing to grow as a school of excellence.

My name is Angela Hayes, and I have had the privilege of working with elementary school students and their families for over 30 years. These experiences have prepared me well to work alongside the staff and faculty of Robert Frost Elementary. Being raised in a small school community gives me an appreciation for the closeness and pride that come with that upbringing.

My husband and I relocated to Westerville to be closer to family. We have two children with our daughter at Michigan State working on her PhD in applied math, and our son in Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a music career as a producer and instrumentalist. We enjoy reading, walking, playing board games, listening to music, and cheering on the Buckeyes!

Presently, I am working on my dissertation to obtain a doctorate in education to continue growing as a lifelong learner. My research focuses on the importance of preparing aspiring leaders for the principalship. This academic preparation and the many years of classroom and administrative experience have prepared me to lead Robert Frost Elementary with you. I know what it takes to help students learn, grow, and become productive citizens. It is evident that we have strong and engaged parent and guardian involvement. Partnering with parents ensures the desires, hopes, and dreams you have for your children.

Community is important to me. Consequently, my personal mission is to include others so they will have a sense of belonging. When students know they matter in a safe environment, they can learn and flourish. Therefore, I am committed to making sure all know they are accepted, are valued, and have a voice.

Woven throughout all we do together will be the appreciation of the rich heritage of Robert Frost and continued pride in our school and community. Together we can accomplish our mission “to create a positive climate that encourages lifelong learners to achieve success.” I look forward to working with you toward that end.

With warm regards,

Angela Hayes, EdS
Interim Principal
