Jim Bisenius delivers anti-bullying training to receptive Robert Frost students.

What should students do if they are being bullied?  What can parents do if their children are targets?  The age-old problem was addressed at Robert Frost Elementary School on January 31, when Jim Bisenius, founder of the Bully-Proofing Youth Program, delivered his powerful message.  Two assemblies were held during the day for pupils, and parents were invited to attend an evening workshop that covered how to teach their kids to respond to verbal bullying, physical bullying, social bullying and group manipulation.  Attendees walked away with concrete tools to help children and parents become empowered instead of victimized.  Bisenius has 20 years of experience as a child and adolescent therapist.  He has taught his methods to more than 950 schools nationally.  The program was presented by the Robert Frost PTA.
