The Robert Frost Elementary School Student Council hosted a Spring Dash 5k on Saturday, April 5, at Westerville Central High School.  A portion of the proceeds from the event benefitted the Oakstone Academy, which provides services for children with autism spectrum disorder.  In addition, Robert Frost Leadership Summit student representatives teamed up with a local dog/cat rescue organization called Cause For Paws to sponsor a Pet Adoption tent, which was located next to the starting area.  Adoptable dogs were present for attendees to meet.

Runners and walkers enjoyed a great (albeit cold) course, chip timing, age group awards, delicious food and beverages, a custom finishers’ medal, and a t-shirt.  Isaiah Smith, a 15-year-old from Pickerington, came in first with a chip time of 23:16.7.  Robert Frost’s Paige Miracle was first in the Female 10 and under category, with a time of 32:13.5.  And Teague Svendsen, also from Robert Frost, was the first place male in the 10 and under category, logging a chip time of 31:30.8.  For complete results, please visit www.speedysneakers.com.
