Longtime Robert Frost Elementary School teacher Gigi Elliott is undergoing treatment for a recent cancer diagnosis, but she is not fighting the battle alone. Her friends at school have formed a team named “Gigi’s Frosties,” and they plan to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Capital City Half Marathon, which will take place in downtown Columbus on May 3. Several teachers and staff members will run/walk the Half Marathon (13.1 miles), Quarter Marathon (6.6 miles) or 5K (3.1 miles), with the goal of raising at least $3,500 for the charity.
