Third grade students at Robert Frost Elementary School have embarked on a community service project to help feed those who are hungry. They planted radishes, lettuce and carrots in raised beds behind their school. They harvested their first crop on September 26 and were able to donate 5 ½ pounds of radishes to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). After sampling the produce, they were asked to talk to their friends and family about eating healthy. The third grade motto at Robert Frost is, “Be kind to yourself, be kind to others, and be kind to your community.” Participating teachers are Katrina Baumann, Maureen McAlister, Bethany Morris and Whitney Pyke.
