I grew up in Westerville and graduated from The Ohio State University. I then taught second, third and fourth grade in Bexley, Ohio before taking nine years off to complete a Motherhood 101 crash course, raising and educating my own small herd of children at home, (six total). Emerging back into the educational field as an administrator, I quickly discovered that I missed working directly with students and re-entered the fifth grade classroom in 2007. I simulaneously worked to complete my Master's degree in Education Curriculum & Instruction. I love empowering others to be their best selves, both in and out of the classroom. In my free time, I teach group fitness classes in strength and cardio-dance at several local gyms, including the Westerville Community Center. I also enjoy bike-riding, reading, swimming and spending time with friends and family.
