Hawthorne Elementary is hosting a virtual movie night 6:15-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 where families can watch the movie “Abominable” from home with food and snacks provided by the school.

Families can drive through Hawthorne’s parking lot to receive the digital Redbox code for the movie as well as pizzas and snacks for their movie night at home.

In addition to providing excellent academic instruction, one of Hawthorne’s main goals is to foster and instill a strong sense of community with and amongst families, Assistant Principal Kristen Millet said.

“With all that 2020 has thrown at us, we thought this would be a great opportunity to provide a fun and free activity that allows families to spend a stress-free evening together,” she said.
