The staff of Hawthorne Elementary School participated in McTeacher Night at the Sunbury Road McDonald’s on Tuesday evening, September 24. Teachers and staff members took turns serving food, welcoming customers, and even manning the drive-through window. Hawthorne families and regular customers crowded the restaurant and Ronald McDonald made a special appearance. McDonald’s graciously donated 15 percent of its profits from the two-hour shift to the Hawthorne’s Parent Teacher Organization.
