BalletMet Dancers Perform for Students at Hawthorne Elementary School

Dancers from BalletMet perform "The Peasant Dance" at Hawthorne Elementary.

Students at Hawthorne Elementary School enjoyed a special presentation by BalletMet on October 8, thanks to the efforts of music teacher Sarah McPeak. The performance, entitled Window to the World, featured dances from many different countries including Greece, India, and the United States. Fourth and fifth grade students spent weeks learning about the ballet, performance expectations, and the art of movement and music. Some pupils even got to join the dancers and learn some ballet moves.
