Cherrington Elementary hosted its first-ever One Book, One Night Youtube Live event at 7 p.m. on May 5.
Kindergarten teachers Denise Leach and Katie Flaiz organized the event to encourage parents to read with their children at home as much as possible, sharing strategies on how they can help their kids continue learning over the summer.
As part of a 10 Day Countdown to Summer, Leach and Flaiz organized a Pajama Day for their students and gave them all copies of the book, “Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten.”
They reviewed tips to help their children learn how to read before Leach read the book for the live event.
