More than 70 students, families and educators at Annehurst, Cherrington, Pointview and Wilder elementaries participated in a virtual family event designed to spark a love of science.
As part of the Hero Elementary Family Science Night, students watched an episode of the PBS KIDS show, “Hero Elementary,” then led their family through a science experiment. Prior to the event, students received materials and supplies, including a science experiment kit.
Funded by a cooperative agreement with the United States Department of Education’s Ready To Learn program, Hero Elementary is an educational media initiative focused on improving school readiness in science and literacy for children in grades K-2 nationwide.
