Throughout the day on Friday, September 23, students, staff, parents and volunteers packed the track behind Cherrington Elementary School for a walk-a-thon. Unseasonably high temperatures and humidity didn’t quash enthusiasm for the annual event, which raises funds for field trips, technology and special activities. Cherrington Principal Andy Heck met with walkers under the shelter to offer thanks, encouragement, and snacks. Some participants even had enough energy left to do a little dancing.
