Principal Andy Heck spent the majority of Friday, October 4, on the roof of Cherrington Elementary School to make good on a promise he made to students there, who raised more than $11,000 during a September 20 walk-a-thon. Cherrington’s PTA will use the money to pay for field trips, school activities, and technology.
Heck said he used a phone and laptop to prepare for the upcoming week. When photographed at noon, he said it was “getting pretty hot up here.”
