David Cuccia read to students at Cherrington on March 18.

Author/illustrator and pet advocate David Cuccia, who wrote There’s a Crazy Dog Under the Palace, visited Cherrington Elementary School on March 18.  He adopted his current rescue dog, Jasmine, from the Franklin County Animal Shelter and she is the star of his latest book.  Cuccia talked about why he became an author/illustrator, and gave advice to students who are interested in pursuing a similar path.  In lieu of payment for his visit, Cuccia asked that a donation be made to the Citizens for Humane Action animal shelter.
