The students and staff at WCSD’s Educational Options for Success (EOS) program hosted its second monthly celebration of unique national recognition days with National Bologna Day on Monday.

To mark the occasion, EOS made fried bologna sandwiches for the Academic Enrichment Center community.

“A few students had never tasted a fried bologna sandwich,” said Nick McIlwain, director of Assessment and Alternative Education. “It was a great way to bring students and staff together and to build upon our strong culture in the building and our sense of community.”

EOS takes an alternative approach to the traditional school, providing opportunities for students to get back on track or to accelerate credit attainment.

In addition, staff members greeted students in costume as part of their Halloween festivities on Thursday, giving students and staff treats ahead of Trick-or-Treat night in Westerville.
