Students and parents interested in learning more about earning free college credits through the College Credit Plus (CCP) program can hear from current CCP students, participating faculty and college partners at a virtual informational panel discussion from 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 13 on Zoom.

Students can also review informational videos about the program now available on the district’s CCP website

The CCP Program allows eligible Ohio students in grades 7 through 12 to earn college and high school credit through the successful completion of college courses. To participate in CCP for the 2021-22 school year, which will include the 2021 Summer Term, students and their families must review the CCP Nuts and Bolts video and complete an intent form.

Students interested in CCP (which includes, but is not limited to, specialized programs such as the John Glenn Internship as well as CCP courses offered on a student’s high school campus) must demonstrate college-readiness and be accepted by the college/university they wish to attend. Each college/university has its own GPA and standardized test minimums.

The live-streamed panel conversation will include students participating in CCP, the district’s CCP instructors, and representatives from Columbus State Community College, Otterbein University and The Ohio State University. Families can register for the webinar link here.

Students can learn more information about the CCP program here or talk to their school counselors if they have questions.
