Westerville North Graduate Sarah Wilson to Play in Rugby World Cup

Westerville North graduate Sarah Wilson will represent the U.S. Women’s Eagle team in France next week in the Rugby World Cup.

Sarah Wilson, who graduated from Westerville North High School in 2003, will be representing the U.S. Women’s Eagle team in France next week in the Rugby World Cup.  According to her profile page on the USA Rugby website, Wilson picked up a rugby ball during her junior year at North and was selected to the Women’s Junior All-Americans during her senior.  She played rugby for Ohio State University and transitioned into the club setup with Scioto Valley in Columbus, after taking two years away from the game.  Wilson joined the Glendale Raptors in 2011 and currently plays for the Colorado club in the Women’s Premier League. 

Games will be shown on Universal Sports on Friday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m. (v Ireland); Tuesday, August 5 at 6:30 a.m. (v Kazakhstan); and Saturday, August 9 at 11:30 a.m. (v.
