The Rotary Club of Westerville, which sponsors a Student of the Month program, recognized recipients at a luncheon at Villa Milano held on November 1. November students are: Kylie Dean, Westerville Central High School; Queen Adu, Westerville North; Aubry Williams, Westerville South; and Katie King, St. Francis DeSales.

The purpose of the program is twofold: to recognize outstanding students who have distinguished themselves by serving their school and to expose them to the Rotary Club and its ideal of “Service Above Self.” Students selected join Rotarians for lunch every week for a month, and have the opportunity to interact with members.

She volunteers at the Food Pantry for the Vineyard Church of Columbus. Adu has earned merit awards and essay contests, and was the best Advanced Placement English student of 2011. She plans to further her education at Miami University, Cincinnati University or The Ohio State University.

Westerville South junior Aubry Williams holds a 4.0 GPA. English is her favorite subject and she is active in the Yearbook Club, FCA, Theatre, the Symphonic Choir, and Junior Mentors. She is a Generations Performing Arts Company member, where she dances and serves as an officer on the Leadership Council. She hopes to pursue a profession in which she can help people.
