On Wednesday, February 3, National Signing Day, Westerville North High School football great Antonio Shelton signed a Letter of Intent to play at Penn State University (PSU).

Shelton has been playing football for 13 years, since he was five years old.  He started off with the Columbus Hurricanes and then moved into the JFLW.  He played middle school football at Blendon and all four years during high school at Westerville North.

Shelton is a three time Varsity Letterman and a two time Scholar Athlete award recipient.  During his 2015 senior season, he made Team Capitan, Second Team All OCC, First Team All-District, and Second Team All-State.

Shelton received scholarship offers from a number of universities, but decided to join the Penn State Nittany Lions for his future academic and athletic career.  He is excited to be the third Westerville high school graduate to play football for PSU, following Ki-Jana Carter and Marc Kielmeyer.  “It’s an honor to represent our wonderful city and state at a legendary university like Penn State,” he said.
