Building Message

Principal

Good day, Heritage Middle School Families,

It is Sunday, March 15, 2020, and it’s time for the Principal’s Message. I hope this message finds you and your family doing fine and focusing on health and wellness. As you know, the Coronavirus is changing the landscape of our lives, and of course, that includes school life. The entire Heritage MS team is working hard to ensure that you and your student have what you need from the school house to support you at your house.  We are working with the district on a plan to allow families into the building to get personal and essential items (i.e. medication, instruments, equipment). We appreciate your patience as we work with the WCS district leaders on all plans like this during this unprecedented time.

Where to get the most accurate and timely information?

  1. Stay tuned to the district website (http://www.wcsoh.org/)

  2. Check your email for new messages from Dr. Kellogg, Heritage MS administration, and/or your student’s teachers.

We will get through this challenge together because we are a strong family. We will continue to communicate, collaborate, and persevere as a HuskyStrong community. Please reach out any time with questions, concerns, ideas, etc. by emailing me at tomlind@wcsoh.org

This Week’s Inspirational Info:

Need more info and support about the Coronavirus from a teaching and learning perspective? Here’s an article from the New York Times entitled, “Home-Schooling Tweens and Teens During Coronavirus Closings”. Check it out for some helpful information!

Even with all of these changes around us, we’re still looking for our students to demonstrate Husky PRIDE.  Thank you for everything you do at your house to support what we do at the school house. As we say at Heritage: Keep your eyes on the prize and seize every day with kindness, excellence, safety and Husky PRIDE! We Are Heritage! We are #HuskyStrong and #HuskyHealthy!

Thanks,

Dr. Tomlin
