Westerville City School parents and community members can learn more about the programs, projects and initiatives throughout the district's classrooms at the Westerville Education Foundation's first-ever Grow and Glow event at the new Minerva France Elementary School.

The showcase — which runs from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 — includes student performance, activities for families and interactive experiences and booths. Attendees can also tour the new elementary, which opened its doors in August.

“Over the past two years we have seen in unique focus the critical and important role our schools play in our community,” WEF Executive Director Colleen Moidu said. “We have also witnessed the heroic efforts of educators, students, community members and organizations in supporting education and our students. This event will be a fun and free opportunity for community members of all ages to come experience, enjoy and engage as we celebrate this support.”

The event is presented by Capital Kia, Bread Financial and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s and planned in partnership with a variety of organizations including Westerville Education Challenge, Westerville Parent Council, Westerville Partners for Education and Visit Westerville.

More event details including a schedule of activities and performances will be available soon on WEF’s website. This event is also part of Ohio Open Doors through the Ohio History Connection. Learn more here.
